In the past year, the Faculty has been working hard with our dedicated alumni to beef up our event programming, and nurture a more engaged alumni community. The amazing success of this fall’s event programming is an encouraging sign that these efforts are starting to pay off.
NYC Coffeehouse
On November 8, Jordan Waxman, LLB’91, BCL’92, hosted the annual NYC Coffeehouse at High Tower, in downtown Manhattan. More than 50 alumni from the New York area joined Dean Leckey and their former classmates for the occasion, making the evening one of the Faculty’s most successful events ever in New York.
The evening was also the occasion for Dean Leckey to hand Waxman his Chancellor Day Circle Medallion (shown on right).

Toronto Coffeehouse
A week later, the McGill Law delegation was headed to Toronto for the Faculty’s annual Toronto Coffeehouse. If the event is always a popular one, this year broke records in terms of attendance (nearly 250 alumni rubbed shoulders in the beautiful offices of Thomson Reuters!), attracting alumni from a wide array of age groups and professional paths. Canadian Lawyer even joined the party, and sneaked a few snapshots. We share a few more below.

McGill visits Hong Kong
In the first week of December, Principal Suzanne Fortier and several McGill representatives headed to Hong Kong to reconnect with the University’s dynamic community, and even catch up with a few of our exchange students in the area. See our album on Facebook.
This elegant event will soon be followed by a visit from Dean Robert Leckey, who will be travelling to Hong Kong in the week of December 11, 2017.
